Isannah's Blessing Day

On June 22nd, 2014, Isannah was given a name and a blessing by her father, Landon Kelly Burgener. She was 1 month and 1 day old.
In the circle were her Grandfather, Roger Jackson, her uncles, Josh Jackson and Nick Camberlango, Bishop Matt Jones, 1st Counselor  Dave Thompson, and 2nd Counselor Shea Wilson.
Josh, Sam, Grandma, Grandpa, Isannah, Mom, Walt, Landon, Nick, Stella, Grandma Burgener, Siena, Abby, and Mike Turzewski - a friend of ours from UW
She wore the dress that her mom was blessed in, with a handmade headband ordered just for her.
After her blessing, we had a little party with the whole Jackson family who came up from Oregon and added 4.5 hours of extra driving drive to their trip. Grandma Burgener also flew in from Idaho!
Isannah is the name that Paul Revere gave to his daughter. We hope it will always remind her of her heritage and that standing up for what is right is so important. Afton is the name of the town that Landon's family comes from on his mother's side. We hope she will wear this name proudly and, like all of the Wilkes family, will learn the value of hard-work, and know that her family should always be her first priority.
I am so grateful for a husband worthy to hold and exercise the priesthood. I love that he can provide this beautiful act of service to our children soon after they are born. Isannah has a wonderful example of love, compassion, and patience in her Daddy.
Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come and celebrate with us!
