Bucket List #58 | The Fremont Troll

Seattle is an awesome city. It's also a little crazy. We're known for being hipsters, drinking a lot of coffee, and loving Bill Gates. What you may not know is that we're also home to fantastical creatures of all sorts, including this guy:
The Fremont Troll is big, a little scary, and really, really hard to find, except for those who already know where it is. When we finally did get there, we were glad we'd make the trek. Next time, it'll be easier to find.
He eats little kids for breakfast!!! No, not really. It's actually a pretty interesting sculpture. It was built in 1989 as a way to make the Aurora bridge more interesting, and it's become something of a local legend.
Walt actually had a lot of fun climbing on it, and didn't want to leave when it was time to go!

I give the Fremont Troll:
Super fun as a detour if you are in the neighborhood, but I'm not sure it's worth going way out of your way to find it. It's more of a sort of "I'm in the know" kind of thing, I think. We are glad we went though!

I stumbled across the troll on accident once, before I even knew what it was. So fun! Your adventures make me miss Seattle, such an awesome city. :-)
