Bucket List #35 | Snoqualmie Falls

Snoqualmie Falls happens to be right near Olallie State Park, so we went here on our way home last weekend. It's only about a 40 minute drive from our house, but we have never seemed to have a free Saturday to go there when the weather was nice.

We are converted. This is a gorgeous stop - a 5 minute walk (or less) from your car and you are treated to this lovely site:
There are some trails that lead to the bottom of the falls, but they are closed until this fall. We'll be back to explore further!

If you're visiting the falls, the town of Snoqualmie is worth driving through. It's adorable. There is a free railway museum which is totally worth a visit.
You can also take a ride on a real old train - it takes a scenic, 30 minute drive past the waterfall and the surrounding countryside. It's a little expensive, but I think we'll do it sometime soon!
This trip, we were content to view the old cars and engines they have on display around the tracks. There was even more to see but we ran out of time and energy. Luckily, it's so near by I'm sure we'll be frequent visitors.

We give Snoqualmie

A beautiful, family friendly, super fun day trip!

I loved visiting snoqualmie falls last summer! We didn't have time to visit the train museum but I took some pictures as we drove by. We'll definitely have to go next time!
