Bucket List #86 | The Bagel Deli

Our Seattle bucket list is a list of adventures we're hoping to have while Landon studies at the University of Washington for the next several years. To view all of our bucket list posts, click here.

While Chelsea was here we tackled one other thing on our list. We stopped downtown and had lunch at The Bagel Deli.
I first heard about the Deli on the popular cooking blog Our Best Bites. It's a loved regional place where people can go for a decent lunch at about $7/person. We had a blast eating somewhere downtown and feeling very local. :)

Not to brag, but I'm pretty sure I ordered the best - a "Garden" sandwich that consisted of tons of delicious veggies, guacamole, and cream cheese on an onion bagel. It was yummy. But we all agreed that the best thing on the menu was the fresh squeezed lemonade. We shared a glass between the 3 of us, and it was oh so good! Landon and I agree that we'll probably be taking our families there this summer.

Walt was less impressed - I think he was starting to come down with a cold (which we ALL have now, thanks for that), and bagels are kind of hard for a 20 month old to eat. But he did like waving to the LDS missionaries - who apparently live upstairs - and drinking out of a straw. Our biggest complaint was that it was freezing cold inside, which I'm sure would have been nice in July but was not so fun in January.

Overall, we rate it:
Good food at a reasonable price, but the only thing to rave about here is the lemonade.
