Farewell - Stricklans

It's weird to say goodbye to what has basically been our entire married life. We've been in Utah for 5 years. Here we learned how to be grown ups, pay bills, commute, and stick to a budget. We survived BYU (twice), a layoff, 3 college apartments, and a bout with infertility. We became parents here.

And we have so many friends we're sad to leave behind.

Tuesday, we said goodbye to our favorite family, the Stricklans. We've done so many fun things with them over the years! It all started with a memorable trip to Manti, where we met Catherine and knew they were meant to be. Since then, we've done engagement photos, gone hiking, been to baseball games, gone back to Manti,  and of course did some awesome road trips.

To cap it all off, we went to $2 Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point and saw the dinosaurs.

We won't get a chance to see our good friends again before the move, but there is no doubt in my mind that we'll be in touch. We have big plans for future road trips. And of course the advantage of staying in touch with high school friends is that we can always meet up in Idaho! We sure love you guys, and can't wait for you to visit us in Seattle!

my favorite part of being friends with y'all is that when we were saying goodbye, there was no drama, no tearful, "we'll miss you!!" just "ok, be safe, we'll see you soon!" Cause we know that it might be a little while, but we'll see each other again soon enough :) We're so excited for you all to start this next phase of your life and we're already formulating when we can see you next! Good luck with everything and Aufwiedersehen! (until we meet again)
