April Showers Bring...

Our baby boy is so loved that we got to have TWO baby showers in April! One given by my wonderful mother-in-law and sister-in-law, and another given by my crafty, over-achieving sister. I never turn down a celebration, especially when I get to be the guest of honor. :) Some things about being pregnant are pretty fun.

The first shower was in Rexburg. The food was AMAZING, and the decorations were super cute. We were totally spoiled with dozens of gifts.

But the best part was seeing so many of the people I care about, and sharing this new life with them.

Erica, one of my best friends from high school, came all the way from her home in Swan Valley. We hadn't seen each other in a year or so, and it was so great to catch up! She is due with her third (a little boy also) about a week before me.

The other shower was held with the exuberant Sanders clan at our annual girl's weekend in Park City. As always, we spent most of the time eating, talking and shopping...in that order. But, we managed to make time for some gift-giving and fun game playing in the midst of it all.

We played the funnest shower game I've ever seen. Everyone had a baby picture with a childhood story on the back, and we took turns drawing names and reading the stories, and whoever's photo it was got to pick a prize. It was funny and surprising to hear about some of the memories and childhood stories!

My mom also contributed a "shower bingo" game where we kept track of what presents were opened and tried to get a bingo. Super fun.

We were completely spoiled at this shower also. Our little boy is basically set up with adorable clothes for the first year of his life.

It was a lot of fun sharing this occasion with my cousin's wife, Sarah (Due in October). Both of us struggled to get pregnant, and it seemed extra special to have two miracles on the way.

Thanks everyone! We are so appreciative of the friends and family who love us, support us, and are excited for us. It's wonderful to know how loved our little boy already is. I can't believe we get to meet him in a month!
