Proud and stuff

UPDATE: We just found out that Landon received first place from his session in the conference! Congratulations bud, you worked so hard for this!

Just in case anyone out there was doubting the genius of my husband, I thought I'd share a little of what he has been working on lately. He works as a research assistant for the Geology Department Chair, and on Saturday he presented their preliminary findings to a conference of fellow students, faculty members, and some mean looking men called "judges." Above, he is presenting. Excuse the terrible picture - I took it with my cell phone so no one would notice. Doesn't he look handsome and sharp? Below is his abstract, or the summary of their research. Every word he said went right over my head, but I was totally proud of him!

Add that to the fact that he designed the new sign for his other employer - the BYU Museum of Paleontology, and I was practically bursting! You'd never know it - he's so shy and humble about it, but he is a man of many talents.

Here he is showing off for his family - thanks for coming to support him, Burgeners!

Sorry if this sounds cheesy to anyone out there, but I sure love my husband. Sometimes I cannot wait to see where life takes him and all of that potential!

I hope it takes you and him to St. George soon. We have dinosaur stuff here...at the Johnson Dinosaur Discovery Center only like seven miles from our house - they work on bones and mud tracks everyday! Plus - and this is a big plus - we are here...and we like you....

Again I'm impressed. Landon that is really something to actually pursue dreams instead of falling in the regular work force. I still think of when you wrote your Jurassic park book with it's illustrations.

Landon really is the man. I look up to him in so many ways.
I know he already has little brothers, but I still look up to him like a bro.
Lando, will you give me and a date a tour of Lando-Land at the museum sometime?
