Peach Pie and Mii

The benefits of the farmer's market have been yielding themselves all week! We've had fried eggplant with tomato sauce (yes, Landon did make it by himself, and it was tasty!), zucchini pasta, fresh green beans and corn with every meal, and last Sunday, the culmination....

Before

After!

Yep, Kylie got adventurous and made a fresh peach pie! It turned out great, and was appropriately delicious. Since we don't have fancy dinners often (hey, Kylie's a workin' girl), we wanted to share our bounty with our good friend Kyle, who came over Sunday evening to enjoy the peach pie and have a rockin' Wii party. Just for the record, we are not talented with the Wii (it was our first time, unless you count that once we played in a Wal*Mart and a 6-year-old boy made fun of us). But we did enjoy making our "mii" characters. Landon's looked just like him! Kylie really enjoyed the tennis game, even though she only managed to score a few points. Perhaps, with a little practice, we could at least not embarass ourselves. In the meantime, we really enjoyed hanging out with Kyle, and hope for many more such encounters in the future. Thanks Kyle!

Don't worry, I think that Wii tennis is impossible.

Zander is good at Wii baseball (ok, he's not good at all - but he loves it). Maybe he could give you lessons.

And the pie looks fantastic. I'm so not a baker...
